The programme will include 3 plenary mornings and 6 mornings or afternoons split into three sessions each. The participants will be invited to offer oral or poster presentation in one of the sessions. Contributions of both kinds may be accepted to the proceedings. The organizers reserve the right to decide on the inclusion of oral or poster contribution to the programme and its allocation within one of the sections.

The titles and abstracts of the contributions have to be submitted by May 15 and the authors will be informed about the decision of the Programme Committee by June 15. Later submission may be communicated with the organizers by email. Reminders will be send to registered participants.

The conference is organized by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Masaryk University, together with The Association of Czech Mathematicians and Physicists, Brno branch.

The conference is supported by Elsevier. The Editorial Board meeting of the Elsevier journal Differential Geometry and its Applications will take place during the program of the conference.

We encourage all interested participants to register via this web form interface, however, in the case of further troubles, you might also use the simple text form appended in the end of this mail, complete it, and send it back to us via reply to this e-mail. Our secretariat would than handle your registration via the web interface for you.

Payments:

Conference fee:

Payments before July 1, 2010 -- 240.00 EUR / 6000 CZK
Payments before August 1, 2010 -- 260.00 EUR / 6500 CZK
Payments later or at registration -- 280.00 EUR / 7000 CZK

The basic conference fee covers:

  • the conference programme, materials, and Proceedings,
  • coffee and lunch during the scientific programme,
  • full social programme (two parties, and a half day excursion with a dinner).

The fee for accompanying persons is 50 EUR / 1250 CZK. It covers the full social programme, as well as coffee and lunch during the scientific programme.

Limited number of participants (mainly PhD and postdoc) will be supported by some fee waivers. Before end of April, full information will be displayed and mailed directly to those who show their interest in their registration.

Accommodation (if booked and handled by the organizers)

Student Hostel Accommodation

Josef Taufer Student Dormitory (Jana Babaka 3/5, Brno) is regularly used as a commercial hotel during school vacations and it offers apartments with two double rooms sharing one bath and a kitchenette. The participants may book either a bed in a double room or a whole double room as a single room. The accommodation cost includes breakfast. The location is about 10 minutes walking distance for the conference site.

The prices are special offers arranged for the participants and have been booked for a fixed package of six nights with arrival on Thursday, August 26 and departure on Wednesday, September 1, 2010. The package is 100 EUR / 2500 CZK if shared with another person, 120 EUR / 3000 CZK for a single room.

Some additional nights are available. They are charged by 25 EUR / 600 CZK / night, and again, they have to be negotiated via the organizers. Please, use the Special wishes column for indicating extra nights.

The hostel accommodation cost is payable together with the conference fee.

Hotel Accommodation:

Continental Hotel (*** category), Kounicova 6, Brno. It is situated in the centre of the town with easy access from the train/bus stations and 10 minutes walking distance to the conference site. The given prices are with breakfast.

The prices are special offers arranged for the participants, the accommodation is booked for the basic period August 26 - September 1, 2010. The prices are 30 EUR / 750 CZK per night if shared with another person, 42 EUR / 1050 CZK per night for a single room. Additional nights are possible, please use the Special wishes column for indicating extra nights.

The hotel accommodation cost is payable at the hotel desk as usual.

Total fee has to be calculated according to the above data (the web form does it for you in default cases) and paid to the organizers by bank transfer or in cash upon arrival. Unfortunately, we shall not be able to accept any credit card or cheque payments.
